Be a Producer

Welcome back to the Health for the Spirit, Soul, and Body blog! Today, we are diving deep into a transformative principle that has the potential to uplift not only your spiritual life but your entire existence— The Call to Be a Producer for Christ. In a world increasingly focused on consumption, it's essential to pause and reflect on what it means to be a producer in the eyes of our Creator.

When we speak of being a producer, we mean someone who contributes positively, whether that's by creating goods, services, or even emotional and spiritual support for others. In the economic world, a producer is a person, company, or country that makes, grows, or supplies goods or commodities for sale. To understand this better, let's contrast a producer with a consumer. A consumer is a person or organization that uses economic services or commodities. In short, producers give, and consumers receive.

Scriptural Insights: The Blessing of Giving

As followers of Christ, one of the core tenets of our faith is encapsulated in the words from Acts 20:35 KJV: "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." The Bible assures us that giving isn't a loss; rather, it’s a gain. The words of Luke 6:38 KJV affirm this: "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom."

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

A fundamental truth about giving is the law of sowing and reaping. If you plant apple seeds, you reap apples.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - Galatians 6:7 KJV

This transcends mere agricultural wisdom. If your heart yearns for love, reach out and shower love on someone who is in need. The story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath encapsulates this beautifully.

"And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son... And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah." - 1 Kings 17:13-16 KJV

Give Your Best

Luke 6:38 not only advises us to give but to give our best. The measure you give is the measure you'll receive, so why not offer what you need and give it with all your heart?

The Secret to Lasting Happiness

To wrap up, let's consider a credo by Dave Kekich: "The source of lasting happiness can never come from outside yourself through consuming values—but only from within yourself by creating values. Producing more than you consume is the only justification for existence."

In essence, if you seek lasting happiness, aim to be a producer in your spiritual journey. The ultimate joy comes from giving and uplifting others, aligning your actions with God's will.

Thank you for spending this valuable time with us today. May you take these insights to heart, becoming a producer in your community and in the Kingdom of God. Until our next enriching journey together,

God bless you!
